BMW Sauber are on course to unveil their 2009 challenger at Valencia on January 20, the team have confirmed.
The Swiss-based outfit are to launch their car in the same week as Renault and Williams, and say that work on the F1.09 has gone as well as planned.
Walter Riedl, the team's managing director, told BMW-Sauber's official website: "We are on schedule. The component production during the winter break went exactly to plan. Everything is now focused on 20th January, the roll-out of our 2009 car in Valencia."
The BMW Sauber schedule has also left the team with plenty of time to through a well-structured first assembly of the new car.
"We have set aside five full days for this purpose," added Riedl. "It will only take a matter of hours to completely assemble a new car during the season."
